Isha Vidhya schools are closed for summer break, but we have lots to share with you.
The most exciting news – Our senior students posted a 100% pass result in the 10th, 11th and 12th standard public exams!
Other news include: a visit by Puducherry Lt. Governor, Dr. Kiran Bedi; donation by NTT Data; a Water Day; and a hospital based activity.
100% Pass Result!
Once again Isha Vidhya students have posted a 100% pass result in the 10th, 11th and 12th Class public Board Exams!
Isha Vidhya teachers and the students put in their best to get a good result in the public exams, but till the result date, everyone waits anxiously for the final scores. Despite the exams being in English - a language that is not often used in the society they live in - and the challenge of being first generation learners in their families, our students scored a high of 93.5% in the 12th Class Board Exams, 90.7% in the 11th Class Board Exams and 96.4% in the 10th Class Board Exams.
Two other remarkable markers are the average score and median score.
This year we also had the first batch of 10th class students from Apollo Isha Vidhya Niketan taking the board exams. Out of the 17 students, 14 scored 10/10 CGPA. This is especially remarkable considering that out of 6 lakh candidates only 5.15% have secured 10/10 CGPA.
We are grateful to the donors and volunteers alike for their contributions. Their efforts play a significant role in bringing about this silent transformation in rural Tamil Nadu.
Hospital Lesson
Often our fears are needless. The best way to dispel fear among kids is by gently making them face it in a comfortable, nurturing environment.
LKG Tamil curriculum has a chapter on ‘Hospital’, and Isha Vidhya Dharmapuri teachers took it as an opportunity to reduce children’s fear of hospitals and doctors. Through discussions and play-acting, students expressed their understanding of hospitals and medical procedures.

NTT Data Donates Material
NTT Data donated towards purchase of materials, such as KG Learning materials, Sports equipment, Art & Craft material and Science lab equipment. This will help fulfill the requirements of Isha Vidhya Coimbatore and Tuticorin in the new academic year.
Puducherry Lt. Governor At Isha Vidhya
Puducherry Lt. Governor, Dr. Kiran Bedi visited Isha Vidhya Coimbatore School and spent more than two hours with the students. She not only visited classes but also patiently answered the questions posed by students. Read more
Water Play
The KG team of Isha Vidhya Cuddalore organized a day of water play activities before the school closed for the summer break.
Water play provides hours of rich and valuable early childhood experience and helps to develop children’s creativity and imagination. It is a great tool to develop hand-eye coordination and math and science concepts among kids. Read more
